Iowa 80 Discussion

I found the reading on the Iowa 80 highway very interesting and an extremely helpful example of what our ethnographic project is supposed to be like. I especially like how the author headed each section of the station and told an individual story about it. Such as one heading he titled "Arcade". This was all about the giant arcade that was attached to the trucking station. He fluently and clearly described every detail he saw such as the people, games, and even inserted his artifact, the logbook, into this section of his essay. I believe that this example of an ethnography proves that our essay should not be difficult to write because in his essay he proves that there are so many different details that we can focus in on. I don't love to write essays but I am looking forward to completing my ethnography for my own personal gain.
